DCAF promotes multi-stakeholder engagement across the private sector, governments and communities in order to address security and human rights challenges. DCAF’s Security and Human Rights Implementation Mechanism (SHRIM) provides a framework for much of DCAF’s operational programming in the Business and Security Field.

DCAF supports national regulatory processes to ensure effective, human rights compliant legal and policy frameworks for private security.

DCAF supports regional organisations in network building, exchanging good practices and strengthening private security governance.
